What is the Community Read?
Each March, Geneva Reads selects a book for everyone in the community to read. With generous funding from the Wyckoff Family Foundation, we provide copies of complementary age-appropriate books to school children, and we plan dynamic programming related to the books.

Community Read 2025 Schedule
March 11: Game Time, 2 - 4 pm at the Geneva Public Library
Learn about 19th Century games, plus word puzzles, authors, lotto, and pick-up sticks. Recommended for 18 and older.
March 14: Movie Night, 5 - 7 pm at the Geneva Public Library
Follow Huck Finn and enslaved Jim, who travel the Mississippi, overcoming obstacles along the way. Movie is 1 hour and 47 minutes. Rated PG.
March 20: "Livy": The Life of Livy Langdon Clemens, 2 pm

Olivia "Livy" Langdon Clemens (1845-1904) was the wife of Mark Twain. Join Historic Geneva's Executive Director Kerry Lippincott to learn more about her and Twain's family life.
